The last 'Gold Rush' in the lower 48 states began outside of Goldfield, Nevada in December, 1902. By 1904 it was a boom, and by 1907 was becoming the largest community in Nevada. Miners arrived in the area and began looking for signs of gold veins. Once found, the miners would stake a claim, submit a Certificate of Location, give the claim a name, and begin digging for ore.
Stories of this boomtown as seen in newspapers, legal documents, and the local cemetery, include claim jumpers, joint ventures, disease, gunfights, miner strikes, gambling halls, and a red-light district. Some claims strike it rich, while others run dry soon after discovery.
Goldfield 1907 is a game that brings all this history to life. You will be the miner dealing with every day 1907 challenges. Through a bit of strategy and luck, you may become rich in this historically accurate board game!
