QUARTERBACK is a strategy game for 2 players or teams from age 10. Each player acts as the coach of an American Football Team using his skills and his players to outwit his opponent and score a touch down.
The playing board is a 10 x 10 grid on which the teams are deployed.
Each team comprises the following players:
1 Quarterback
4 Blockers
2 Squarebacks and 2 Dummy Squarebacks
2 Roundbacks and 2 Dummy Roundbacks
2 Tribacks and 2 Dummy Tribacks
each of which has certain movement ability and the ability to influence the player in their are of the board in which he is located. A "ball" is used to indicate how play is progressing.
The aim of the game is:
Offense - to score as many points as possible within four quarters, by scoring touchdowns (points range from 12 to 20 dependent on where on the scoring line the ball crosses - the nearer the central posts the better). a touchdown must be scored within nine turns otherwise the play ends and the Offense scores 0 points.
defense - to stop the Offense from scoring a touchdown.
