In Genesis, players build the surface of a new planet.
Each player receives a pen of a different color. The board is placed in the middle of the table. In the first phase, the players, alternately, put a mark of their color on a free space on the board in order to show their ownership. This phase lasts multiple rounds depending on the number of players (7 rounds for 2 players, 5 for 3 players, 4 rounds for 4-5 players, and 3 rounds for 6 players. In the next phase, each player, on their turn, chooses a direction and expands their landscape in the chosen direction. The game ends when all spaces have been filled. The player who has occupied the least amount of spaces receives zero points. The other players receive points corresponding to the difference between the number of spaces they occupied and the number of spaces the last player has. The player with the most points wins.
