Escaping Reality is a competitive simultaneous worker placement resource management with an optional combat dice rolling mechanism. You play as The Dreamt, Avatars with unique asymmetric abilities, competing to become the most powerful entity in the Dream World. The goal of Escaping Reality is to be the player with the most victory points at the end of the game. Victory points are gained primarily by gathering enough comfort (resources) to help people fall asleep…Escaping Reality and entering the Dream World forever; however, this is not the only path to victory. Players can befriend companions, acquire unique artifacts, fulfill the wildest of dreams, conquer Realms, and defeat the worst of Nightmares, all of which also provide victory points.
