Java is an extension part/ module to the Down In Flames Series - Volume 2: Zero!: The Rise and Fall of The Imperial Japanese Air Force Dec 1941 - June 1942 game by GMT Games. This DiF Module was published in RBM's C3i Magazine Nr14.
The conquest of Borneo, the Celebes, Amboin, Timor, Lombok and Bali in February 1942 left the Japanese in complete control of eastern part of the Netherlands East Indies, while the conquest of Sumatra late that month gave them possesssion of the west end of the archipelago. All that remaines was Java.
On 1 March 1942 the Japanese landed troops on both the east and west ends of the island. The defenders fought back valiantly but had to capitulate nine days later.
Down in Flames series is a card-driven game that simulate WW2 air combat.
