Lingering Hues is a solitaire "tower defense" type card game. A player may play as one of the heroes, both heroes, or let a second player control a hero.

Heroes must last the night by warding off the advancing Kimryr, using a specialized dice system to match the enemy K.O. points. By playing certain "candle" cards, starting dice may be swapped for special stock of dice which eliminate higher or lower pips of the dice.

Hero traits, special abilities, and cooperation can push the battle in their favor. Players must have at least 1 Capacity Point,(health) after encountering all the enemies in the game to be victorious.
