Meet the Martin Family is a board game based on a successful Australian radio series called 'Martins Corner' that run from 1939 - 1955.
The playing board shows 111 spaces where players move by the roll of a dice to reach the Martin Family corner grocery store. First to do so is the winner.
The board game was based on the radio characters and certain special spaces have players move ahead or fall back depend on the romance, adversity or economics of the Martin Family characters. The movement is similar to Chutes and Ladders and is represented by a plane flight.
The game was a premium given away by Kellogg's, who was the major sponsor of the radio program. Interestingly the left and right corners of the game board has the title Kellogg's Aeroplane Flight Game.
