The Tree of Battles takes Simon Macdowall's Comitatus system and adapts it for Late Medieval Europe, especially the Hundred Years War and the War of the Roses.

The rules emphasize command and control and speed of play rather than details of weapons and equipment, while retaining enough colour to give a feel for the period.
