This is a PnP scenario for CATAN and can be used with other expansions as well.
Instead of placing the desert tile in the middle, replace it with a home hex. Place the other home hex where the number 2 token lies. The robber starts in the center. When placing your starting settlements, only 1 may be adjacent to a home hex.
If the robber is moved, either by throwing '7' or by playing a 'knight' card, place it on any terrain as normal. But it can't return to a home tile. The robber doesn't steal a card. Instead every player adjacent to a home hex receives 1 resource card of the type produced by the hex the robber was moved to. No matter how many settlements or cities you have adjacent to the home hexes.
