The game consists of a game board, with a track around the outside and three zones (1, 2 and 3) holding lego pieces inside; five sets (red, orange, yellow, green and blue) of four cards each, showing the pieces needed to build particular models; four lego baseball cap playing pieces and a six-sided die.
Players agree upon a set of cards to play with, and then select one each. Starting with the player in the most colorful clothes (!) each player throws the die and moves that many spaces around the board. There are five different types of space on the track:
1. Pick one piece from anywhere on the board
2. Pick two pieces from anywhere on the board
3. Pick 1 piece from zone 1 (or 2 or 3)
4. Place another player's piece back on the board
5. Helicopter space - Move anywhere on the track
The winner is the first person to their model.
The game box says "for ages 7 and up", but my 6 year old plays it quite happily. There is no strategy, only the luck of the die roll. Within a set of the cards there are sufficient lego pieces on the board to build all the models, so there is no competition for pieces.
A game to introduce Lego fans to board games, but not one to get board gamers excited by Lego.
