Minmay Attack is a doujin (fan-produced) game that was only sold at Japanese game shows. It was not made for the general public. To order, you had to place an order in advance. The game would then be made, and you would pick it up at the show. The game requires assembly.
This game reproduces the fleet battles that were fought in the world of “The Super Dimensional Fortress Macross”. It mainly deals with the First Macross War.
The game uses a combination of the show "Macross" and the movie "Do you Remember Love" for the settings in the game. The players have units that are made from both shows and setting.
The game is a hex-and-counter wargame, typical of many wargame types, with ZOC's and CRT's. It comes with a map, counters that need mounting, player aids, and unit data sheets.
The sequence of play is:
Phase 1: Special Weapon/Special Action Declaration
Phase 2: Initiative Decision
Phase 3: Movement Phase
Phase 4: Stealth/Dimensional Movement
Phase 5: Air Operations
Phase 6: Bombardment/Missile Attack
Phase 7: Special Weapon Judgment/Special Action Execution
There are units for Zentraedi, Maltrandi, UN Spacy.
A second edition was made that added ships from the show Mospeda.
