The Gauntlet is a two-player boardgame that was published in Buck Rogers magazine #1.
One player is Anatoly Karpov, the renegade Russian general who has stolen the Masterlink, a space based weapon satellite. The other player is Col. Anthony 'Buck' Rogers, America's greatest pilot.
The game contains a map, 8 pages of rules, 106 cut-apart counters, and player ship displays.
The U.S. player wins if Masterlink is destroyed. The Soviet player wins if Buck Rogers is killed and Kharkov survives, no matter how badly Masterlink is otherwise damaged. Special tournament victory conditions are also provided based on varying levels of victory.
