I Served with Heroes Revised 1.1 is a World War II squad-based wargame with roleplaying elements.
Each model is a soldier that you control on the battlefield in squad vs. squad combat.
Now, with any wargame, you can never get the realism, but you can get close to what you are trying to achieve, so each soldier has a personality that you can name, have skills, and feel the loss on the field when he dies, unlike the massive platoon-sized games where you don’t care if one dies.

The revised update includes the following:

Two new armies (Japanese and Russian, including the Germans and the Americans)
New rules on diseases in the game playing in the jungle
