One of the oldest Icelandic boardgames, Söguspilið (The Game of History) gives you the change of living through Icelandic history from the Age of Settlement to modern times.
The game has two main parts, firstly you travel round the outermost circle on the board (The Circle of Ages) trying to get as much money as possible before you embark on the journey towards the center of the board where you can land on black (penalty) or white (bonus) spots and have to draw a card for each spot you land on which tells you the nature of the penalty or the bonus.
