Pay attention to the progress of your opponents as they are not idle. Everyone wants to mobilize their army and take hold of the Castrum: the Pompeian military camp. Only the first player to station their army at the camp outside the city will seize absolute control of Pompeii and win the game!

But be warned! While you strive for victory, Mount Vesuvius looms ominously in the distance. This unpredictable volcano could erupt at any moment, costing you more than you bargained for. Together with your opponents you must make enough sacrifices to keep the volcano in good spirits. Ignore the warning signs, and you may find yourself buried under layers of deadly ash and molten lava.
