"Gather the characters from Alice's story and start your own little funny tale!"
In Gather Round! Alice in the Wonder Museum, each player has a hand of cards featuring small and large portraits of seven characters from the books by Lewis Carrol. The game has a whimsical graphic design, utilizing the original illustrations by John Tenniel.
The goal is to have a hand of five cards where every small portrait matches a large portrait. Upon building a complete hand, the player scores a point for each small portrait in their hand. The first player to 20 points wins.
Each player keeps four cards in their hand. On your turn, you draw from the deck or the discards of other players. Trying to build a set of matching cards in hand is a puzzle, with each card having one large portrait and one to three small portraits. If your turn ends without creating a completed hand, discard one card face up in front of you. Be careful, because other players will be able to choose from your discards, but you cannot.
