War is imminent. You and your opponent will battle head-to-head, trying to fashion the strongest trench, using secrecy and special cards to bolster your line. Will you try to strike first and declare war? Or will tensions reach the point of no return...

Obliquity: The Trenches is a quick print and play card game that sees players building up their trench, using merely two decks. The variety and possibilities in this game means that no two trenches will ever be the same. Cards will provide Power Points, which is the ultimate decider of who wins in the game, and is provided by infantry cards and bolstered by support cards. Special cards can provide great advantages, if the trench can support their particular placement rules.

Part face-off and part-puzzle, all the cards have their own placement peculiarities, which will need to be thought about. Players will need to decide which place, out of the available places, would the card be best, to facilitate future potential card draws. This is ultimately the crux of the game, the construction of the trench through quick and simple puzzle-solving.

And if that isn't enough, then the Buildings and Bombs expansion allows players to construct buildings in their trenches and utilise No Man's Land, adorning it with dangerous defences.

Good Luck, General.
